As an outstanding, high-performing school, The British School Muscat is one of the leading schools in the Middle East. It is a not-for-profit, non-selective, co-educational, British international day school that provides a comprehensive and balanced education to a mix of approximately 900 English speaking expatriate pupils aged 3 to 18 (65 nationalities, 47% British). The school follows an enhanced National Curriculum for England and produces exceptionally and consistently high National Curriculum, GCSE and A Level results, placing it in the top 3% of schools in England. The school was last inspected in March 2009 against Ofsted's Section 5 inspection framework and was judged by inspectors to be an outstanding school. The school also provides a Dutch secondary education through Rijnlands Lyceum Muscat. Dutch students receive native language instruction in core subjects whilst also being fully integrated into the British Curriculum. Visitors to the school are warmly welcomed and more information about the school can be found on our website www.britishschoolmuscat.com |
