The school has an effective ALN Department that provides systematic support to targeted pupils. A large proportion of pupils have English as a Second Language (EAL) and this provides the biggest professional challenge to our teachers. |

RAK Academy: British Curriculum Primary School opened in September 2007. It is part of the RAK Academy group of schools and has a student population of 1365+. The patron of the school is HH Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qassimi, member of the Supreme Council of the UAE and ruler of Ras Al Khaimah. The Academy is governed by a School Board and the day to day management of the school is the responsibility of the Head Teacher, Mr. W. Hughes M.Ed; B.Ed (Hons). The school offers a British style curriculum to its students who are from predominantly local Emirati families. It is a co-educational establishment which has a selection process for its pupils from Year 1 to Year 6. Pupils transfer from Year 6 to the secondary department at the adjacent sister school (www.rakacademy.org). The school is well equipped with modern facilities including library, gymnasium, sports hall, swimming pool, theatre and three ICT suites. |
