Kuwait National English School is a private, co-educational non-profit organisation following the up to date September 2014 UK National Curriculum , offering classes in Pre-school, Early Years, Primary and Secondary with GCSE, IGCSE, AS/IAS and AL/IAL from UK Examining Boards which the school is a recognised centre of. Students receive a solid comprehensive education and with 37 nationalities, we value intercultural heritage and place a great emphasis on mutual respect and tolerance. Teacher/Student ratios are very good ensuring quality teaching and learning geared to different learning styles and abilities. After school activities and enrichment programmes are provided from a wide range, sport team practice, school choir, debates to academic subjects. Admissions to Early Years and Year 1 is based on personal interviews and oral tests. Admission to Year 2 onwards is based on written entrance tests, interviews and records from previous school. KNES is proud to be fully accredited by BSME (British Schools Middle East), BSO (British Schools Overseas), CIS (Council of International Schools) and NEASC/CIE (Commission on International Education) as well as a member from UNESCO ASP Net Schools. The staff are all qualified teachers and UK trained in using the latest developments in education. The school's excellent facilities include three large playgrounds for different age groups, excellent sports facilities including an Olympic Style swimming pool covered, a double gymnasium and outdoor sports facilities, Science and Technology Centre, centre for Art and Music and a state of the art theatre, a large library and a cafeteria. All learning spaces are fully air-conditioned and equipped with the latest technology, WI-FI, projectors, smartboards and printers. Many events are taking place such as Science and Technology Fair, Musicals, Community service, Charity Day and links are created as humanitarian friends with Red Crescent and Hope and Homes in the UK.
