Fujairah Private Academy is a non-profit making organisation owned by the Government of Fujairah under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah. The School offers a British style Education in a bilingual setting, with most of the students being Muslim and Arab. It is a national school to which some expatriates come. The School follows the National Curriculum of England and Wales in core areas and prepares students for Edexcel G.C.S.E/IGCSE and G.C.E AS & A2 Level Examinations. Students also take Key Stage 2 SATs and  Key Stage 3 Optional Tests. All students completing Year 12 or Year 13 leave the school to enter higher education in the UAE, UK, Canada, Australia or the USA. Fujairah Private Academy is staffed by Australian/New Zealand and UK trained teachers, with suitably qualified Arabic staff, teaching Arabic and Islamic Studies. Most non British staff have worked in the UK.

The school was inspected by the UK government in March 2013 and holds British School Overseas status. It was  given  a good rating with  some outstanding features. Fujairah Private Academy is also an accredited member of the British Schools in the Middle East Association.

The environment is conservative with attention paid  to the traditions and culture of the United Arab Emirates. However we also value our diversity, as the remainder of the students reflect the other 35 nationalities in the school.  The school role is 669 of which 64 % of students are Emirati, 22 % nationals of Arabic countries and 12 % from western and Asian countries.

The School is an institution in which people from a wide variety of nationalities and cultural background work together. We believe that we encourage understanding and tolerance, building bridges between different cultures and a lifelong respect. Each student is regarded as an individual and we aim to provide a purposeful and friendly atmosphere for their academic and personal growth. Students are encouraged to develop lively and enquiring minds,creativity, a sense of self esteem and the ability to make a positive contribution to school and society.
