When the BSME CPD Programme began in earnest, in 2011, we had only half a dozen schools officially listed as ‘host schools’. To date, thirty-five schools have already hosted for us and we now have forty-seven schools (approximately 65% of the total membership!) registered as willing hosts. That is a fantastic statistic and a real testament to the credibility of the the rapidly growing CPD Programme.
Such keen support is not only much appreciated, it is also essential to the success of the programme. Without it, the BSME CPD Programme simply could not run in the manner in which it does currently. Our sincere thanks go to all our host schools across the region.
To claim host school free places, you will need to fill in the Host School Free Place form. Please click on the link below to download the form.
Booking Form - Host School Free Place
Please email this form to Sam via cpdassistant@bsme.org.uk before the course booking deadline. Please DO NOT register your free places online - all delegates registered online will be charged. Should host schools wish to book any additional (chargeable) places, they should do so on-line, in the ‘Programmes and Courses’ Section of the CPD area.
Kind Regards,
BSME CPD Coordinator

Founded in 1992, Horizon School follows the National Curriculum for England. Horizon School, in the heart of Jumeirah, has five and four in each year group from Pre-school to Year 6. Every child receives the individual attention young children need throughout the school.  Children between three and eleven of all nationalities are welcomed, creating a multinational environment where children learn to respect, appreciate and enjoy others’ culture. All class teachers are British trained and attend regular in-service training to ensure that they are kept up-to-date with curriculum changes in UK. Regular specialist lessons in music, information and communication technology, Arabic, physical education, swimming and French are offered as part of the curriculum. The computer study room, science lab and music room are exceptionally well equipped and sporting facilities comprise two swimming pools, sports hall, two activity halls and large playing fields. Support is available for children who excel beyond expectations or require additional guidance. In addition to this, the school offers a very comprehensive after-school activity programme including such diverse pursuits as golf, all sports, cookery, various arts, horse riding, drama, and skiing! Throughout the school, the emphasis is on hands-on, sensory and experiential learning. All teachers are fully conversant with the concepts of brain-friendly strategies and careful consideration is given to the various learning styles. Brain gym is a regular and beneficial part of every school day. Our children achieve to the best of their ability in all areas and gain impressive academic results which enable them to enter Secondary School with confidence. Children leave Horizon with a toolkit of life skills having experienced a truly holistic education.  An enthusiastic and supportive group of parents organise a variety of family orientated events throughout the year such as the Beach Brunch, International Fayre, Halloween Disco and an International Lunch to celebrate U.A.E. Day. New parents are encouraged to join this group.  |
